Are you accepting new patients?

YES! If you are interested in becoming a new patient in our practice, you can schedule an appointment for a complete dental exam including x-rays and cleaning. Or you can schedule an appointment with Dr. Summerville to evaluate a specific treatment need if you are experiencing a dental problem, pain or discomfort. Distinctive Dentistry offers an assortment of days and times to accommodate your schedule.

Do you accept my insurance?

We do accept most dental insurance plans — Cigna, Metlife, Delta Dental, Ameritas, Humana and many others. We also accept NC Medicaid dental insurance.

Is there a payment policy?

Our No. 1 priority is your dental health. Treatment recommendations are based on each individual patient, and we will provide an estimate of insurance benefits for the recommended treatment. However, you are fully responsible for the treatment performed, including costs not covered by insurance. We make every effort to gather all available information from your insurance carrier, but knowing your benefits is your responsibility.

Do you offer any financing?

If your insurance requires a co-pay, it is due at the time of the treatment. Patients who do not remit co-pay at the time of treatment will not be seen. If your insurance pays by percentage, we require 50% of the total out-of-pocket estimate as a deposit when you schedule an appointment and 50% at the time of treatment. The same payment structure applies to those without dental insurance. Our office does offer financing options. Ask a team member if you are interested in financing.
